Arnstadt (dpa / th) - The fire in a warehouse in Arnstadt resulted in high property damage on Sunday.
The police assumed in initial estimates of 100,000 damage, as they announced.
The fire was reported shortly after 6.30 a.m. in the morning.
50 firefighters went out to fight the flames.
Because of the heavy smoke development, residents were asked to close doors and windows.
According to the police, it is still unclear whether something was stored in the hall or whether it was empty when the fire broke out.
