In Quebec, the recruitment of students from India is in the hot seat after the police strike on Friday.

In recent years, the number of students recruited in India has literally exploded in private high schools in Quebec.
To the point that they now form a group twice as numerous as the French and the Chinese combined.
A phenomenon all the more strange in that there are very few private high schools in Quebec.
Not everything is clear
The arrest of two former employees of a Montreal school organization involved in the international recruitment of students shows that everything is not clear in this case.
In fact, students who study in Quebec can more easily access permanent residence in this province compared to emigrants who apply from abroad.
A very little regulated market
Following his education here would therefore facilitate the installation of these young Indians permanently.
An approach that is not free.
Private high schools impose very high registration fees for Quebec, which can amount to more than 15,000 euros per year.
Competition seems fierce in this new market, which is still very poorly regulated.
