Würzburg (dpa / lby) - With a success against Hannover 96, the Würzburger Kickers want to start catching up in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga today (1.30 p.m. / Sky) and give coach Bernhard Trares a debut made to measure.

The former professional footballer had taken over Lower Franconia as the third coach this season.

With only one point out of seven games, the Kickers are bottom of the table.

After a short training camp, however, the home side were optimistic about celebrating their first win of the season.

At the same time, the Free State duel between SpVgg Greuther Fürth and SSV Jahn Regensburg is rising in Middle Franconia.

The Fürth are one of the surprise teams of the first phase of the season and can move up to second place in the table with a win.

The Jahn, in turn, would draw level with the Fürthers if they were successful on points.

1. FC Nürnberg is only in Osnabrück on Monday evening.
