It was just before 9.30 on Sunday morning that a traffic accident occurred between Ålängen and Engelsfors on the E16, near the border with Gävleborg.
A passenger car must for unclear reasons have driven into the center railing and the road was closed completely during the rescue work, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
Emergency services, police and an ambulance were called to the scene.
One person was taken to hospital, with unclear injuries.
At 10.30, the Swedish Transport Administration states that the road is no longer closed, but that traffic is still affected to a large extent as there is limited traffic past the site.
