Invited on Sunday from Europe 1, the former Minister of the Economy Arnaud Montebourg wanted to denounce the consequences of the health strategy which consisted in reconfining the French to face the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic in France .

INTERVIEW

Emmanuel Macron will announce Tuesday, during a televised address, a relaxation of the constraint but not yet the end of the confinement, while it should theoretically end on December 1.

In the eyes of Arnaud Montebourg, guest on Sunday of the

Grand Rendez-vous

on Europe 1, the executive did not learn the lessons of the first wave, last spring.

"Our results, both in terms of the number of people who have lost their lives and in terms of economic destruction, are disastrous when you look at Asian countries which have learned of other pandemics," said the former minister of the Economy of François Hollande, who had been replaced at Bercy by Emmanuel Macron. "It was not useless to learn, once we had deconfined in May-June, he adds, and to find other methods than those which consisted in reconfining us and destroying again the 'economy."
