The trial of a father on charges of cruelty to his daughters

The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanor Court heard the case of a (Gulf) father accused of threatening and violating the safety of his daughters and their servant.

The Public Prosecution indictment stated that the accused falsely and in bad faith informed a police station that his wife had violated the sanctity of his residence, the theft of money, official papers, and a car, and the kidnapping of his daughters and the maid, despite his knowledge of her innocence, with the intent to harm her, as well as throwing the victim with something that would outrage her.

She explained that the accused violated the safety of his daughters and the maid, which prevented them from carrying out their personal work for a period of no more than 20 days. Punish him in accordance with the amended penal code and the Child Rights Law

The attorney for the defendant's defense, Hanan Al-Bayadh, said during her pleadings before the court, that her client issued a complaint against his wife that she left the house and took all the papers and documents. She went with the children and the car he bought for her from his money, and took 200,000 dirhams from his private safe.

She indicated the absence of the material and moral element in the crime of false communication, explaining that the accused was the one who informed the police of the incident of his wife’s escape.

It stated that the defendant's wife did not specify before the Public Prosecution and the police the verbal or insult that the accused had directed at her, and she did not request an accusation for insulting him, and with him the accusation of scratching her mind for the maliciousness of the accusation is denied.

She pointed out that the girls do not want to complain against their father, and she asked the court to acquit her client, and to summon his daughters, his wife and the maid and ask them about the details of the case.
