Several thousand people gathered this Saturday in several cities in France against the proposed "global security" law.

The demonstrators contest article 24 of the bill, penalizing the dissemination of the image of the police if it “undermines” their “physical or mental integrity”, adopted in a tense climate in the Assembly national Friday night.

Macron, you will not have my freedom

", "

": the slogans competed in Marseille where nearly 2,500 people gathered.

Aggregate of very diverse demands, this gathering also mobilized a few dozen "yellow vests" on the second anniversary of the movement.

In Nice, they were about 300 people, according to the police, to parade in a motley procession bringing together students of journalism, anti-masks and "yellow vests".

In Lorient, in Saint-Etienne in Puy-en-Velay, in Rennes, hundreds of people marched.

In Lille, 800 people according to the prefecture gathered, protesting against

In Rennes, more than a thousand people gathered at Place de la République, according to the organizers.

Many young people were present with signs "

Lower your guns, we will lower our phones

 ", "

The camera has never killed anyone

 ".

Some of the demonstrators tried to leave in a procession, but were quickly arrested by the police who used tear gas.

In Bordeaux, around 500 demonstrators marched behind a banner "

 ".

Incidents in Paris

Incidents broke out between demonstrators and the police at the end of the rally in Paris.

Several thousand people had gathered since the beginning of the afternoon at Place du Trocadéro in peace to defend, in particular, freedom of the press.

Garbage cans were set on fire and a dozen demonstrators threw projectiles at the security forces who responded by using water cannons on several occasions.

While chants resounded "

everyone hates the police

", some demonstrators implored, in vain, to "stop" the gravel so as not to tarnish this gathering.
