Munich (AP) - FC Bayern Munich must fear defender Lucas Hernández's failure.

The soccer world champion hit the ground in a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday and was replaced after 19 minutes.

He had problems with his hip and will be examined on Sunday, said coach Hansi Flick.

"We have to wait."

For Hernández, who signed on for 80 million euros last year, a long absence would be particularly bitter, as he is now a left-back at Munich after a difficult first season.

Alphonso Davies is missing as another left-back injured.

Flick hopes that in Wednesday's Champions League game against RB Salzburg midfielder Corentin Tolisso and right-back Bouna Sarr can return after their muscular problems.

"We'll have to wait and won't take any chances," said Flick.
