The Burkinabe opponent Zéphirin Diabré, president of the Union for Progress and Change (UPC), says he is confident in his presidential victory on Sunday, November 22 in Burkina Faso.

He affirms that he will be well in the second round against the outgoing president, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré and adds that all the opposition has agreed to support the candidate who won.

The one who is running for the second time for the supreme office denounces the buying of votes by the ruling party and says he is ready to challenge the result of the ballot if the evidence is proven.

"We are very vigilant," he said on France 24 from Bobo-Dioulasso.

"If there is fraud, it goes without saying that I will not accept the results".

He also criticizes the fact that many Burkinabè, displaced by the violence, will not be able to go to the polls.

Zéphirin Diabré also blames Roch Marc Christian Kaboré for his inability to stem the deterioration of the security situation in Burkina Faso.

He assures us that the president's refusal to negotiate with armed groups is a mistake and announces that, if elected, he will engage in dialogue with certain armed groups, in order to find compromises.

However, he asserts that the country's territorial integrity, its secular and democratic character will be red lines for him in any negotiation.
