Chinanews.com, November 20. The Philippines' "Lianhe Daily" published an article signed by Shi Fangzhe on the 20th, revealing the four ways that the DPP authorities in the Terrace Bay can infiltrate the United States.

The full text is as follows:

The U.S. presidential election has aroused great concern in Taiwan, and it also allowed the DPP authorities to lobby and infiltrate the United States through different methods.

After combing through many years of public information and reports, we can find that the DPP authorities have inherited the usual practices of the Taiwan authorities in infiltrating the US Congress and think tanks, and have continued to develop under the influence of the Sino-US game and the DPP’s "independence" attempts.

Lobbying Group is a representative political phenomenon in American parliamentary politics.

The beneficiary group obtains political and economic benefits through direct and indirect lobbying of members of the Senate and House of Representatives who have legislative power.

This kind of lobbying usually combines monetary donations, and even forms lobbying to penetrate the industry chain.

The lobbying group from Taiwan has always been a "powerful role."

Some American historians describe it as being very good at provoking American political nerves.

The DPP came to power in Taiwan. The main channels for lobbying to penetrate the United States are: through the "Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States" (TECRO), "Taiwanese Public Affairs Association" (FAPA), "Global Taiwan Institute" (GTI) Direct lobbying by institutions and personnel in the United States; indirect lobbying through public relations companies such as Cassidy and BGR Group; and matchmaking and lobbying through personal connections such as pro-Taiwan anti-China elements in the United States and Taiwanese in the United States.

TECRO is an agency of the Taiwan authorities stationed in the United States, and FAPA is an overseas "Taiwan independence" organization. The two active lobbying forces tend to have the same goals and interests after the DPP came to power.

The DPP authorities infiltrated the main targets: U.S. politicians, such as U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo, President's Deputy National Security Adviser Pottinger, etc.; federal senators and their assistants, such as Rubio, Cruz, Yohu, Menand , Inhoff, Chabot, Kirton, etc.; former officials, such as former Assistant Secretary of Defense Xue Ruifu, etc.; think tank scholars, such as "2049 Planning Institute", "Center for Strategic and International Studies" (CSIS), scholar Ge Come and wait.

Many media have previously reported that the "2049 Planning Research Institute" chaired by Xue Ruifu took the initiative to openly accept funding from the DPP authorities, which has also become an important source of funding for the institute.

Most of the core members of the Institute are related to the US Department of Defense. Among them are members of the "US-Taiwan Business Association", which is the most powerful lobbying for arms business in Taiwan, and members of FAPA.

After sorting out, it can be found that there are four main ways of infiltration by the DPP authorities.

  One is to provide funding.

According to the US “Foreign Agent Registration Act” (FARA) of 1938, the “Federal Lobbying Control Act of 1946”, the “Opening Lobbying Act of 1995”, the “Opening Lobbying Technology Act of 1998” and other laws, the DPP authorities passed the funds Cash, transfer, purchase services, etc. are transferred to the agent, and then sent to the American conference members and their assistants, think tanks or scholars through the agent.

During the election period, candidates can also be funded by donating to the "Super Political Action Committee" (SuperPAC).

The second is to participate in cooperative research, such as the publication of Taiwan-related reports through cooperative research between Taiwanese think tanks with DPP background and American think tanks.

CSIS receives US$500,000 in funding from TECR every year.

The third is to hold events in the United States.

The DPP authorities organize economic, trade, and cultural activities in the United States through organizations or enterprises in the United States, chambers of commerce, overseas Chinese agencies, etc., bear conference expenses, and provide congressmen and scholars present with speech and manuscript compensation.

TECRO launched the "Taiwan-US Epidemic Prevention Cooperation Donation Ceremony" and donated masks to relevant congressional districts. As of November this year, it has donated 6.48 million masks to the United States.

The fourth is to invite members of Congress and their assistants to visit Taiwan through authorized non-governmental organizations registered with the State Department of the United States.

FAPA has long appointed young Taiwanese as assistants to members of Congress to directly promote and manage this matter.

From 2017 to 2019, the DPP authorities received 22 batches of more than 70 members of Congress to visit Taiwan.

This year coincides with the U.S. election. The DPP authorities and flanks have penetrated into the U.S. and have developed a deep involvement in the U.S. elections, and even "choose sides".

In May of this year, when the DPP authorities produced a video congratulating Tsai Ing-wen from a U.S. Congressman, there were 11 Republican congressmen, which took 57 seconds, which was much longer than the 10 seconds of three Democratic congressmen.

The DPP authorities once manipulated the "net army" to "smear" Biden.

The TECRO Twitter account forwarded US media reports on Mrs. Trump’s Melania election campaign in Pennsylvania, and deleted it one hour later.

The Washington Post published an article on October 30, "How will Joe Biden deal with China?"

"Taiwan is very nervous" will be exposed.

However, as the results of the US presidential election gradually became clear, the DPP authorities had "hairpin bends" about the U.S.-related election work and "quickly made up lessons" for Biden.

In response to public opinion that "betting the wrong treasure" in the US general election, the DPP authorities can only respond with "U.S. support for Taiwan will not be reduced by the rotation of political parties."
