- We know that a child can have between 16 and 28 care contacts before someone puts their foot down about interventions or a diagnosis.

And in healthcare, there is also a lot of duplication of work.

That is, among other things, what we want to change, says project manager Ingrid Meissner.

The initiative comes from the profession.

Among other things, from staff at the clinics that meet children and parents in need of support and diagnostic investigations.

The purpose is to improve care and interventions for children under 6 years of age with development-related disabilities.

Expertise from various clinics that usually meet this group of children is now gathered here.

Examples are doctors, psychologists and other staff from, among others, the speech therapy clinic, child and maternal health care, the children's clinic and BUP.

- The hope is to save time, both for the child and for the care.

To prevent families from wandering around among various instances and having to explain their history over and over again.

Here, the child also receives a journal that comes with it, says project manager Ingrid Meissner.

The preparations have been going on for a year and the reception will now be run as a project and developed over the next two.
