The figures come from Google Mobility Reports, where they studied how our phones move and compiled people's movement patterns.

Something that Kvällsposten was the first to report on.

In all counties in southern Sweden, the new restrictions have affected people's behavior.

But in Kronoberg County, both pleasure visits and bus and train travel have decreased the most.

Visits to restaurants, cafés, libraries and cinemas in the county have decreased by 28 percent recently.

The biggest change has taken place in public transport, according to the movement patterns at bus and train stations, commuting has decreased by 42 percent.

Clear change in all southern Swedish counties

Kalmar County is not far behind Kronoberg, where entertainment visits have decreased by almost as much, 27 percent.

Activity at public transport stations has decreased by 41 percent.

In the other southern Swedish counties, in Halland, Blekinge and in Skåne county, clear reductions can also be seen.

Uses site history

Google bases its data on users who have enabled the location history setting in their phone.

But the privacy of users is protected, the data can not be linked to an individual's movements.

The company writes that they produce the information in order to be able to provide a statistical basis for the changes that have taken place due to political decisions in the fight against covid-19.
