The staff at Nova fritidsgård in the Norrliden residential area in Kalmar had to rethink completely.

When they could no longer welcome the young people into their premises, they had to find new solutions.

- We have converted our entire business to digital.

We have only been running for a week and we are really beginners now, but we may be the world's best, says Yvette Boklund, leisure manager at Nova leisure center.

Always trying to be approachable

Twice a day, they broadcast live on social media from their studio inside the leisure center.

For most of the day, they are also available on a chat so that the young people can reach them if there is something they want to talk about.

- We try to reach out to the young people in the ways we can, says Linus Olsson, leisure leader at Nova leisure center.

All the leisure centers in the municipality cooperate.

Together, they devise different ways to solve the situation, the leisure centers have come different distances in the work of being digital.

The leisure leaders make challenges and arrange quizzes and other games that the young people can take part in online.

- The most important thing is still that we are there, that they know that we are available online, says Linus Olsson

Always staff on site

From eight in the morning to nine in the evening, there is always a staff at the leisure center.

There are many young people waving as they walk by or knocking on the window.

- Sometimes we take walks so we can meet them outside for a while in the distance, says Yvette Boklund.

In the clip, you can hear more about the digital leisure center and what the young people think about the solution.
