Sorsele municipality is currently working on developing new ownership directives for the municipal housing company Sorselebo.

In anticipation of the new ownership directives, the municipal board is now appealing for Sorselebo to apply the handbrake with regard to the planned sale of nine public apartments in Gargnäs.

- We can not stop the process because then we lose time, but we will not complete the sale without having a dialogue with the municipal board, says Robert Salomonsson, CEO of Sorselebo.

"We lose money on the apartments"

The background to the sale is that Sorselebo wants to raise money.

- We lose money on the apartments.

Our mission is to run the company at a profit.

New ownership directives are expected to be in place before Sorselebo's Annual General Meeting in April next year.

- How do we want Sorselebo, for example, to act in the villages?

It can be part of what appears in an ownership directive, says municipal councilor Kjell Öjeryd (V).
