French Olympiakos midfielder Mathieu Valbuena will miss his reunion with the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, during the Champions League match counting for the 5th day scheduled for December 1, due to an injury.

"Unfortunately, I got injured in training and I will miss the next few weeks," Valbuena announced on his Twitter account Thursday.

He will not be restored for the second leg against OM, a club where he played for eight seasons, from 2006 to 2014.

The 36-year-old has not communicated the nature of his injury.

In the first leg, he contributed to the victory of Olympiakos against Olympique de Marseille (1-0) by providing the decisive pass to Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub for the only goal of the game, in added time.

He will also miss the reception of Manchester City on Wednesday, for the 4th day, where OM receive FC Porto.
