In a debate article in Göteborgs-Posten, high school student Rasmus S Andersson writes that high schools should be closed to prevent students from contributing to the increased spread of infection.

But switching to distance learning should be done in the last resort and should be avoided.

This was announced by Minister of Education Anna Ekström (S) at the same time as she presented the new decision that upper secondary schools will have greater opportunities to switch to distance and distance education.

- We are basically like rats during the Great Depression, says Rasmus S Andersson to SVT Nyheter Halland.

Minister of Education: This is how we want to reduce congestion

Minister of Education Anna Ekström (S) makes the following comment:

- There should be no congestion in corridors or on buses to and from school.

That is why the government is now opening up for increased opportunities for upper secondary schools to conduct distance and distance education to reduce congestion, she says.

"Then we close the high schools"

In Wednesday's Aktuelltsändning, where the Minister once again got to hear Rasmus S Anderson's criticism, she developed her answer:

- There are very big disadvantages with closing the entire high school.

Other countries that have contracted the infection have worked with mixed teaching, ie teaching both at a distance and at school.

But if the upper secondary school is not able to handle this situation, and if the situation demands it, then we will not hesitate to close the upper secondary schools.
