Asvel lost three seconds to the end of Wednesday's match in Berlin against Alba 76-75, after leading from the first minute on Matchday 9 of the Euroleague basketball.
Despite a huge performance from Mustapha Fall (25 points), the French champions lost on a three-point shot three seconds from the buzzer.
This sixth defeat of the European season, against Alba who kicked off the red lantern, leaves Asvel in last position in the standings.
After two consecutive failures against the Red Star of Belgrade (68-89) and Zenit Saint-Petersburg (53-66), opponents supposed to his measure, Villeurbanne nevertheless delivered a controlled performance, winning the first three quarter- time, with a lead that peaked at 13 points.
