November 18, 2020Tim signs an agreement with Eutelsat to bring broadband everywhere through satellites.

"We have ordered a series of satellites on Italy. Soon we will start with a service that we will call" Tim everywhere ", where we will arrive with broadband everywhere. A good service, from the island of Montecristo to the hermitage, to the mountain hut. Tim has all the existing technologies in the world to bring the connection, for a first year on an experimental basis and in 2022 the service will be complete on the whole continent and we can be anywhere. Despite Covid, the works are progressing well ".

This was stated by Tim's CEO, Luigi Gubitosi, speaking at the annual meeting of Anci.

"In about six months we have connected another 3,000 municipalities" to the ultra-broadband.

"We have been aware of the discomfort of white areas, with the creation of two categories of citizens: one who could do work and school remotely and the other who could not," said Tim's CEO.

"Two thirds of the white areas have already been wired and we will reach 75% by the end of the year. Most citizens who had the problem at the time do not have it today."

"By the end of the year there will be the first Region without digital divide, Puglia, where we will reach about 99% of the bundled cabinets"
