Sixteen people arrested in an anti-drug crackdown in Rennes

Thirty police officers from the Raid intervened as part of this anti-drug operation carried out this Tuesday in Rennes.

A major judicial police operation was carried out early this Tuesday morning in Rennes and in several surrounding municipalities to dismantle a drug trafficking network, we learned from the prosecution.

Nearly 120 police officers, including around thirty personnel from the Raid de Paris and Rennes, were mobilized as part of this investigation conducted by the Rennes departmental security.

The operation led to the arrest of 16 people and "significant seizures" of narcotics.

Police custody of suspects can last up to ninety-six hours in cases related to drug trafficking.
