The corresponding instruction was published following a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council for the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

In particular, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health, Roszdravnadzor, the Federal Customs Service, and the Treasury were instructed to form a list of such drugs and determine the need for them by the end of 2020 and for 2021.

In addition, it is necessary to check their availability in medical organizations and pharmacies, to clarify the number of drugs imported into the country, and also to find out the reasons for the failed auctions for their purchase.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was instructed to determine the number of available drugs for coronavirus from wholesalers and manufacturers and take measures to deliver them to the regions.

"The results should be submitted to the government with preliminary information by 10:00 on November 17, 2020, and then report on weekly starting from November 19, 2020," the document says.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian regions received funds for free medicines for patients with COVID-19.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to allocate additional funds from the federal budget to the regions for the purchase of drugs to combat coronavirus.

On November 9, the Ministry of Health launched a service for reporting drug shortages.
