“In connection with the executive decision of the Council of the European Union (EU) 2020/1648 of November 6, 2020, Belarus is now mirroring its response to the sanctions list for each of the EU countries and for Canada,” the text says.
The Foreign Ministry clarified that the sanctions list is of an equivalent nature, "and also operates within the framework of integration associations, which include Belarus."
Earlier, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei said that Belarus is lowering the level of representation in the Eastern Partnership program to the expert level due to the politicization of the decisions made within the initiative.
