Sandu had a telephone conversation with the leader of Romania

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Action and Solidarity party, headed by Sandu.

“Sandu had a telephone conversation with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.

With the inauguration of the President, Maia Sandu will make continuous efforts to restore and strengthen relations with Romania, ”the statement said.

Earlier, Sandu declared victory to her supporters and called the unification of Moldovan society a top priority. 

Later, the CEC of Moldova announced Sandu's victory in the presidential elections.

The incumbent head of Moldova Igor Dodon, the Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Chicu and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky have already congratulated her on her victory.
