Danish Radio's information that the American intelligence service NSA spied on both the Swedish and Danish defense industries has provoked many reactions.

Several members of the Riksdag's Defense Committee demand that the Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist, the Security Police (Säpo) and the military intelligence service (Must) appear for a hearing of the members.

- We need more information, says Mikael Oscarsson (KD), member of the Defense Committee.

"May be misinformation"

Initially, SVT Nyheter was informed that Saab's representatives were available for a television interview.

But the company later backed down on the grounds that the revelation could be based on misinformation from a foreign power, in order to create conflict.

The company later chose to comment only on the information in a written statement:

"There is a lot of interest in us from a variety of players, we know that and it is natural considering our high-tech products."

Saab further writes:

"We never comment on speculation and we do not comment on this specific case.

Our work with safety is rigorous, it is an ongoing work that we take very seriously. ”

SVT Nyheter has sought the Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist (S) for a comment without success.
