The advice takes effect from 12.00 on Monday and is valid for four weeks.

- We must do this to try to stop the increasing spread of infection, says the region's infection control doctor Lars Wesslén.

Here are the guidelines that apply in the county according to the Public Health Agency.

• Refrain from making unnecessary trips, both within and outside the region or part of the region

Travel within or between regions can contribute to increasing the spread of infection because new people are often met, which leads to new infection chains being started.

One should therefore, as far as possible, refrain from such travel.

If you have to travel, it is important that it is done in as infectious a way as possible by keeping your distance from others and avoiding new contacts.

• Refrain from staying in indoor environments where people gather, such as shops, shopping malls, museums, libraries, bathhouses and gyms.

Exceptions are necessary visits to, for example, grocery stores and pharmacies

You should not stay more than necessary in indoor environments with people you do not normally meet.

Outdoor environments are not covered by this advice.

Necessary visits to, for example, buy food or medicine, or medically motivated training in a bathhouse or gym, are also not covered.

• Refrain from participating in, for example, meetings, concerts, performances, sports training, matches and competitions.

However, training for children and young people in primary school is not covered.

One should refrain from events that gather many people at the same time, whether it takes place indoors or outdoors.

The risk of spreading the infection increases in these situations and it is also risky with travel to and from such events.

For children and young people, sport is important.

As children and young people's impact on the spread of infection is low, they can continue to practice their sport.

Matches and competitions should not be held, either for children or adults, as this often means meeting new people and because it can be difficult to refrain from participating despite having symptoms.

• Avoid having physical contact with people other than those you live with

The council tightens up the requirement to keep a distance from people other than those you live with.

By

physical contact

we mean the people you meet and who are at a distance of 1–1.5 meters, and where the actual meeting (contact) lasts more than 15 minutes.

That type of physical contact should be completely avoided.

Certain types of activities should also be avoided if they cannot be carried out without physical distance from others.

It can be about certain sports activities e.g.

contact sports such as wrestling, ice hockey and basketball;

private events, e.g.

parties, weddings, parties, dinners and afterwork;

health and beauty care that is not medically justified, e.g.

massage, foot care, hairdresser or beauty care.
