The resistance is organized.

For several days, groups have been emerging all over France to denounce the compulsory wearing of masks in primary schools.

In the North, a collective called “Laissons respirer 59-62” has just been formed to call for a first demonstration.

Sunday afternoon, around sixty people braved the rain to parade in Lille, along Boulevard Hoover, between the rectorate and the regional hotel.

Attacks on mental health

"We denounce the learning difficulties that the wearing of a mask provides for children and the serious damage to their mental health which is highlighted by experts", underlines Juliette, mother of a child at the Littré school in Lille .

According to her, "this measure is mainly taken to reassure adults, but does not make sense and it is dangerous."

The government has made the wearing of masks compulsory for students from the age of 6 since returning to class on November 2, as part of the measures taken against the spread of Covid-19.

Since the start of the epidemic in March, hypotheses have continued to vary on the role of children in the spread of the coronavirus.

In March, classes had closed because young students were identified as the main vectors of contamination.

In June, an about-face, a study showed the opposite, justifying the return to school.
