“I would like to note that over 20 million coronavirus cases have been registered in the Asia-Pacific region, which is almost half (43.7%) of the total number of people infected in the world,” the Russian leader emphasized.
He expressed hope that the idea will be supported and the document will be adopted.
Putin recalled that in 2016 Russia put forward an initiative to develop anti-infectious cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, the implementation of which helped to establish coordination between epidemiological departments and organize the exchange of experience and information.
