Pharmaceutical companies such as South Korea, which develop vaccines and treatments for Corona 19, have been hacked by North Korea and Russia, Microsoft said.

According to the Associated Press and others, in an article posted on the blog that day, Microsoft revealed that it has caught hackers in Russia and North Korea sponsored by the state trying to steal valuable data from seven famous pharmaceutical companies and vaccine researchers.

Microsoft said that most of the hacking attacks in recent months ended in failure. The number of successful hacking attacks and the extent of the damage were not separately disclosed.

Most of the hacking targets were organizations directly involved in the study of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, and were in Korea, the United States, Canada, France, and India.

MS did not disclose the names of the targeted institutions, adding that most of them have vaccine candidates at different clinical stages.

Regarding the identity of hackers, Microsoft has pointed to three groups: North Korea's representative hacking group, Lazarus, and Russian military personnel, Fancy Bear.

'Fancy Bear' was designated by the UK National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) as an organization aimed at the Corona 19 vaccine in July.

Microsoft said, "I think these attacks are unconscionable and should be condemned by all civilized societies."
