Mishustin approved the rules for financing the protection of Lake Baikal

The procedure for subsidizing is approved in the state program "Environmental Protection", the government said.

On August 6, it became known that Mishustin approved the composition of the government commission for the protection of Lake Baikal.

The commission was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko.

Also, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Evgeny Zinichev, instructed to hold an emergency meeting in connection with the rise in the water level in Lake Baikal.

In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, together with the authorities of the Irkutsk region and Buryatia, to work out the issue of holding the Year of Baikal in Russia.
