"That you didn't say you didn't know anything about 'Kitchen'"

  • Investigation: The former 'number two' of Interior points to the involvement of Rajoy in the espionage of Bárcenas

The former Minister of the Interior,

Jorge Fernández Díaz

, has provided Judge Manuel García Castellón with an expert opinion that accuses his former number two,

Francisco Martínez

, of "manipulating" his mobile messages, "mutilating" his conversations and deceiving the notary by protocolizing them .

According to the computer expert report, to which EL MUNDO has had access, the messages provided by the former Secretary of State for Security before the National Court, in which

Fernández Díaz

informs him of the dump of the mobile phones of former PP treasurer

Luis Bárcenas

or It facilitates the identity of his driver to capture him as a confidant,

"they present notable irregularities"

that "make them suffer from a high probability of manipulation, which would prevent them from being taken as truthful and from being covered with the characteristics of authenticity and integrity required by these evidences ".

As explained in the expert report signed by

Javier Rubio Alamillo

, "the screenshots provided in the first of the minutes have different morphology from each other, so they seem to be different applications".

In this way, "it would no longer be just alleged SMS messages, so it could be presumed that there would have been a 'switch' between terminal applications".

Likewise, it adds that "none of said screenshots provided in the first of the minutes has adjacent elements such as buttons, coverage signals, terminal clock, etc., which allow to affirm that it is an Iphone terminal as manifested in the minutes" .

But the alleged irregularities detected by the expert go even further.

He accuses one of the public notaries who formalized them of "

mutilating the presumed conversation and discarding the messages

that are not the object of the request, depriving the protocolized messages of the integrity that they must have."

With regard to the second of the minutes provided by

Martínez

, "the screenshots do present adjacent elements, but said screenshot reveals that the terminal did not have

its SIM card

inserted

, which is why it is impossible for the call made by the applicant to notary is produced, at least, from said terminal ".

"So it seems that

Mr. Martínez

made a 'change' between terminals, without the notary noticing, since otherwise, the removal of the

SIM

card

should have been reflected in the minutes."

In turn, the expert stresses that "in none of the screenshots of any of the minutes it can be seen that the number of origin of the messages is that of

Fernández Díaz

."

So "it is observed that the sender of the message is a certain Jorge who can be any element of the terminal's agenda".
