“With long-term dyspnea, the appearance of attacks of suffocation, edema of the lower extremities, palpitations,“ interruptions ”in the work of the heart after a previous illness, it is very important not to postpone referring to specialists and carrying out the necessary to identify problems from the cardiovascular system, start the necessary treatment, undergoing a rehabilitation course, ”the Ministry of Health quotes him.
The expert emphasized that patients with cardiovascular diseases are at risk for COVID-19 due to the likelihood of a severe course and adverse outcomes, as well as the development of complications of the underlying disease.
In this regard, he called on these persons to especially strict adherence to all anti-epidemic measures and to postpone unnecessary scheduled examinations for a later period.
