A leftover bomb explodes in Rakhine State, Myanmar, causing one death and two injuries

  At about 3 pm on November 13, local time, a leftover bomb exploded in the town of Mi Pong, Rakhine State, Myanmar, resulting in one death and two serious injuries.

The bomb was left on the side of the road during the armed conflict between the Burmese government forces and the Rakhine ethnic group. Three road workers accidentally triggered the bomb during the incident.

  There was a government military base near the explosion site. After the explosion, the military immediately sent personnel to investigate the scene and detained the remains of the victims.

The two injured are a father and son and are currently receiving treatment in a nearby hospital.
