On November 13, at the "3rd Ophthalmology Conference of the International Genomics Conference" organized by the People's Government of Shenyang City, the "Gene Accurate Prevention and Control of Diabetic Eye Disease Project" for eye diseases caused by diabetes was officially launched.

  Diabetes has susceptibility genes, family genetic factors, and genetic-related disease aggravation, and it is even closely related to blindness.

  [Explanation] In the past few years, the Eye Gene Bank has conducted genetic testing, risk warning, precise prevention and personalized treatment for people and patients with family history of diabetes, which has achieved good results in preventing complications and reducing the risk of blindness and death.

After the "Gene Precision Prevention and Control of Diabetic Eye Disease Project" is launched, the genetic prevention and control of diabetic eye disease project will be promoted from Shenyang to the whole country.
