The Bordeaux-Bègles Union won on the wire (30-29) in Castres, the former team of its manager Christophe Urios, on a test at the siren of Afa Amosa on Friday at the opening of the 9th day of Top 14.

The UBB, which won its third victory in a row, made a provisional bottom in the standings by moving up to 5th place.

The CO remains 12th.

The Tarnais saw two of their tries refused by the referee, the first for a forward pass from Julien Dumora and the second for an obstruction from Thomas Combezou.

Well into the match, the Castres gradually began to suffer the influence of a Bordeaux team relying on a conquering scrum as well as Matthieu Jalibert well in legs and precise in his shots on goal.

Castres believed he had found the flaw when Mathieu Babillot spun towards the end just before the half hour mark.

But Dumora's pass was ruled forward and the try canceled.

The second period started at the same pace and the two scorers, Benjamin Urdapilleta and Jalibert, continued their mano a mano.

Bordeaux has finally found speed and after an action started on the left and a succession of passes, the excess has benefited from the right wing to Yoram Moefana, author of the first test of the UBB (59th).

Geoffrey Palis responded the next minute but his try was refused for an obstruction from his partner, Combezou.

The break was made for the visitors (25-15) with twenty minutes remaining.

But the Castres did not resign themselves: a devastating penetrating group, a yellow card in Bordeaux and in the process, on a new maul, Combezou scored a Tarn test finally validated (66th, 22-25).

In a breathtaking final, Castres Filipo Nakosi thought to deliver his own by scoring as a forward to place his team in the lead five minutes from time (75th, 29-25).

It was without counting on the character of Bordeaux, who reversed the score in the final seconds.
