  According to reports, the Korea Price Association stated that it has conducted a survey on the prices of 15 kinds of pickled overwintering kimchi materials in 8 traditional markets and 9 large supermarkets across the country from 12 to 13 of this month. The results show that it is based on a family of 4 people. At present, the cost of buying pickled winter kimchi in traditional markets is 328,640 won, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%.

The purchase of materials in a large supermarket costs 396,720 won, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year.

  According to reports, due to the prolonged rainy season and insufficient sunshine, the prices of spices such as chili powder and green onions have soared, which has become the main reason for the increase in the cost of pickling kimchi.

  In addition, the soaring price of cabbage at the beginning of last month has returned to stability and is lower than the same period last year.

Based on 16 cabbage, the traditional market price is 48,040 won, a decrease of 20.3% year-on-year.

For large supermarkets, 37,830 won, a decrease of 43.7% year-on-year.
