Peskov spoke about the "politeness pause" of Russia against the background of the US elections

The Kremlin spokesman recalled that President Vladimir Putin decided to wait for the official summing up of the election results and only after that congratulate the elected president.

Thus, Russia "maintains a pause of politeness," Peskov explained.

“It's such a politeness pause.

We are not saying anything about the elections, about the current situation.

We are just waiting for the Americans themselves - not the American media, but the Americans themselves - to proclaim the elected president, ”he said in an interview with Anton Krasovsky on the YouTube channel RT Russia.

At the same time, Peskov stressed that Russia would be "more impressed" by a president who wants to "somehow revive bilateral relations."
