In Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pachinian is weakened after the military defeat against Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Mr. Pachinian signed a ceasefire with Azerbaijan under the aegis of mediation by Russia, which is considered a "surrender".

The opposition demonstrated in the week, where the slogan "Pachinian: traitor" was chanted.

But the hero of the velvet revolution of spring 2018 counterattacks, putting forward arguments which prove that he is far from being the only one responsible for this defeat experienced as a tragedy by the Armenian people.

It is on Twitter and Facebook that Nikol Pachinian responds blow to blow to his detractors.

He first did so on Tuesday by revealing that all the military leaders of Armenia and the Armenian independence province of Nagorno-Karabakh had asked him to sign a cease-fire agreement.

And this on several occasions.

The Karabakh army had been on the verge of collapse for days.

Not a high-ranking officer of this army has contradicted the revelations of the Armenian Prime Minister.

After this first blow, Nikol Pachinian, still at ease in adversity, continued by asking in particular who among the leaders of the 17 parties which demonstrated last Tuesday to demand his resignation had sent his sons and relatives to the front.

No response from them.

It was then for a sort of national conscience examination that he called by looking back on nearly three decades of failed negotiations with Azerbaijan.

The refusal of the compromise contributed to the inevitability of a military solution on Baku's part, he explained in substance.
