42 dead and 20 missing ... the outcome of cyclone FAMCO in the Philippines

The Philippine police said that the death toll, due to cyclone Famco, has reached 42, and 20 people are still missing, after floods and landslides.

Among the dead were a family of five people buried in a landslide in Pingit province in the northern Philippines, and two government engineers, who were conducting a search and rescue operation, according to police.

And 43 people were reported injured, in separate accidents, as a result of the cyclone that struck the island of Luzon.

Hurricane Famco, the 21st and deadliest hurricane to hit the Philippines this year, attacked the island on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Tens of thousands of homes were flooded with water, and many residents sought refuge on the rooftops.
