In Martinique, a 33-year-old man was indicted for intentional homicide, a judicial source learned on Wednesday.

This thirty-something is suspected of having killed his companion with a bullet in the head on Monday in Marin, in the south of the island.

The 32-year-old victim was killed at his home at dawn, the same source said.

The alleged perpetrator of the crime is known to the police for violations of the Highway Code and drug consumption.

At first silent in front of the investigators, he would later have recognized an argument with his partner.

In 2019 in France, 146 women were killed by their spouse or ex-companion, 25 more than the previous year, according to the latest official figures.
