Restrictions. Andalusian hoteliers, on the warpath: "We cannot bear any more rudeness and lack of respect"
Pandemic: The SOS of commerce and hospitality in Granada, closed for at least two weeks due to the coronavirus
The Junta de Andalucía is going to launch a
rescue plan
for freelancers and entrepreneurs for an amount of around 660 million and with which it is intended to cushion the impact of the pandemic and the restrictions imposed by this second wave in the community.
The rescue of the Andalusian productive fabric, which has yet to be finalized, will translate into
direct aid
with which, for example, pay the rent of premises;
endorsements and tax exemption.
Specifically, the Andalusian Government will allocate 215 million for direct aid, 350 million to guarantee the financing of companies and the self-employed and another 94 million in taxes that will be waived or reduced.
The Andalusian president made this announcement after meeting, in the Palacio de San Telmo, with the presidents of the Andalusian Businessmen Confederation (CEA), Javier González de Lara;
from the Andalusian Chambers of Commerce, Javier Sánchez Rojas;
and the Association of Autonomous Workers (ATA), Lorenzo Amor, within the framework of the one baptized as
Alliance for Andalusia
.
The meeting takes place on the same day that the Andalusian hospitality industry was summoned to
protests
in all capitals under the slogan 'Without aid they ruin us' and with the aim of denouncing the current situation of the sector after the new schedule and activity restrictions taken to control the coronavirus pandemic.
The Andalusian Hospitality Federation (Horeca) maintains that time restrictions and tax requirements "increase every day the risk of
permanent
bankruptcy
of an activity with 55,000 establishments and 250,000 workers."
