This is stated in Kaznacheev's appeal to the Russian branch of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights.

“I was given a choice: either I go without a lawyer right now for interrogation to American agents and then, perhaps, return home, or I stay in the department until the next working day and wait for the first available lawyer,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

The Russian added that everything happened on Friday, while the next Monday was a non-working day.

“Being fully convinced that my arrest was a terrible mistake, I agreed to go to the interrogation without a lawyer.

It was conducted by two American agents, two German and an interpreter who spoke very poor Russian, ”Kaznacheev said.

According to him, the interrogation lasted three hours.

He also noted that the court that charged him was "five minutes", and then he was sent under arrest for a month and 17 days to "bandits from all over the world."

Currently, Kaznacheev is awaiting a decision on the issue of extradition to the United States in Berlin.
