The Dubai Criminal Court has begun the trial of a 22-year-old (Asian) camel shepherd, on charges of stealing a camel from his sponsor's estate, estimated at 10,000 dirhams, and tried to sell it in the Dubai camel market.

The victim, a 40-year-old Emirati employee, said that he discovered the disappearance of a camel from his farm in the Lahbab area, and was not convinced of the possibility of her escape and was suspected of being robbed, so he contacted a number of people in the camel market in the Marmoom area, and some camel transport drivers. The camel is already in the market, and that his sponsor is offering it for sale, so he informed the police, who went directly there and arrested the suspect in the act of committing his crime.

For his part, the accused admitted in the police inference report and the Public Prosecution investigations that he had planned to steal the camel, find the appropriate opportunity and carried out his crime, and took it to the market to sell it, but his employer corrected her disappearance and was able to find his place and inform the police and arrest him, and the Dubai Public Prosecution charged him with committing the felony of theft. .

In another case, the Dubai Criminal Court began the trial of a maid on charges of stealing a small safe containing 45 thousand dirhams and documents from the house of her (Asian) employer.

The victim said that he went out with his two sons and left the maid alone in his residence, and after his return he was surprised that the safe had disappeared from the wardrobe, and it contained documents for himself and his children and an amount of 45 thousand dirhams, so he immediately informed the police.

He added that the surveillance records were emptied in the apartment and the building and he saw the accused maid leave the building with a green bag of clothes hiding the safe inside, and took a taxi and left to an unknown destination.
