  Zhu Fenglian pointed out that November is the hottest online shopping season in mainland China, and this year's "Double Eleven" will start ahead of schedule on November 1.

It is expected that this year's "Double Eleven" period will attract more than 800 million domestic and foreign consumers, 250,000 brands, and 5 million merchants to participate, making it the most extensive and highly engaged event.

Last year, Taiwan was the region with the largest increase in purchases during the "Double Eleven" period.

Zhu Fenglian said, "We believe that the people of Taiwan will still participate very actively this year."

  Zhu Fenglian mentioned that the mainland has 1.4 billion people, of which more than 400 million are middle-income people. It is the world's largest and most potential consumer market.

As of June this year, the mainland's online sales users reached 749 million, of which e-commerce live broadcast users reached 309 million.

  Zhu Fenglian introduced that in order to further help Taiwanese-funded enterprises expand the mainland's domestic sales market, various mainland departments and local governments have taken many practical measures this year, including guiding the holding of multiple online promotion and matching activities for "Taiwan-funded enterprises to expand domestic sales" to assist Taiwanese businesses and Taiwan. Tsinghua uses "live broadcast with goods" to expand the market and negotiates with Taiwanese businessmen and enterprises to participate in the CIIE.

  The majority of Taiwanese businessmen and enterprises have taken the mainland Internet economy express train to keep up with the pace of development of the mainland's e-commerce and have gained tangible benefits.

During the just-concluded Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week, companies on both sides of the strait have achieved more connections in the digital economy, finance and other industries.

At the just-concluded third CIIE, the first US$500 million purchase intention order was also signed by a Taiwanese company.
