Wall Street started in the green on Wednesday, the Dow Jones index opening above its February record before slowing its rise significantly, still driven by the prospect of a vaccine.

The Nasdaq and tech stocks regained color after two sessions of decline.

At 2:45 p.m. GMT, the flagship index of the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, rose 0.28% to 29,504.20 points.

A few minutes earlier at the opening bell, he had surpassed his record of 29,551.42 points set on 12 February by a few points.

The Nasdaq, with strong technological coloring, regained ground lost the day before, advancing 1.49% to 11,726.55 points.

The extended S&P 500 index gained 0.53% to 3,564.39 points.

New York Square, which remained open for November 11, while the bond market was closed, observed two minutes of silence before the market opened in honor of Veterans Day.

The day before, the flagship index of the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones, in the green since the presidential election, had gained 0.90%, investors regaining confidence in the promise of a return to normal life after the announcement of a future effective vaccine.

The Nasdaq had paid the price for profit taking, yielding 1.37% and the S&P 500, the most representative index of the American market, had dropped 0.14%.
