He said this during the court session.

“I have a petition for the appointment of a repeated complex forensic psychological and psychiatric examination in the case,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Lukyanov also said that the first examination, which recognized Sokolov as sane, was carried out with a number of shortcomings.

He clarified that the applied methods were not indicated in the examination.

According to the investigation, on November 7, 2019 in St. Petersburg, Sokolov shot Anastasia Yeshchenko, a graduate student of St. Petersburg State University, and on the night of November 9 he decided to get rid of the body and dismembered it, after which he tried to drown the remains in the Moika River.

On October 12, Sokolov pleaded guilty in court.
