“As I was informed, the creation of a new command post with almost absolute protection, including the strategic nuclear forces, is at the final stage,” he said.
He also said that a lot has been done in recent years to ensure that all elements of the strategic nuclear forces are maintained at the highest level.
“Thus, stationary and mobile control points have been significantly modernized, their analytical and operational capabilities have been expanded, including information support, monitoring and analysis of the situation,” the president said.
He added that the quality of such an important parameter as noise immunity has increased.
The President stressed that today all command posts allow receiving comprehensive data on the situation in real time and, on the basis of this information, assess the situation and make informed decisions.
The head of state noted that it is necessary to seriously work to increase the survivability of control systems.
The President stressed that a lot depends on the survivability of these systems, their ability to maintain a working condition in combat conditions.
“Moreover, this must be ensured even in the event of a nuclear strike,” Putin said.
Earlier, Putin said that Russia would be engaged in the modernization of nuclear forces.
