On Wednesday, a new test station opened at Rosvalla in Nyköping and from Monday, the stations in Trosa and Gnesta will be permanent after having only been open two days a week so far.

- The need has increased from week 44 when it also became larger than we had the capacity for, says Sofia Stenlund Wretling, head of the development unit at Region Sörmland.

Hard to get time the same day

The waiting times to take a test have in some cases been around a week.

Sofia Stenlund Wretling says that you work hard to reduce waiting times, but that you should not expect to get an appointment the same day or the day after.

- But day two or three, I think you should be able to expect to get a time, she says.

A thousand tests a day

At present, around a thousand people are tested a day in Sörmland.

The public health authority would like to see that there were even more.

- The challenges we have are to keep up with the need.

Sometimes we are a few days behind, but it takes time to get a bus on site somewhere and staff to staff, says Sofia Stenlund Wretling.
