According to Ninnie Borendal Wodlin, care director in the Östergötland Region, an expert group has been added this week.

The task of the expert group is to propose measures for how Region Östergötland will increase the sampling rate, which will be presented to the regional special health care management on Friday.

The decision on what measures to take will be decided on Monday.

- We must secure the capacity for staff and patients.

We have had a broken appliance, but it is repaired now.

Now we are working hard this week.

Next week, we expect to be able to try the public again, says Ninnie Borendal Wodlin.

External opportunities

Ninnie Borendal Wodlin says that the region is now investigating the possibilities of expanding capacity internally, such as acquiring more appliances and expanding premises, but also the possibilities of using external resources.

- We have had close contact with the Swedish Public Health Agency and the National Board of Health and Welfare about using the state-procured suppliers, but also other external suppliers.

Both nationally and internationally, says Borendal Wodlin.
