Today, Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the signing of an agreement with the Russian side to establish a joint center to monitor the ceasefire in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, alongside a joint peacekeeping force, stressing that Turkey contributed to ending the "Armenian occupation" of Karabakh region through financial support And the moral that she gave to her brothers in Azerbaijan.

This came in a speech he delivered during his participation in the meeting of the parliamentary bloc of the Justice and Development Party at the Turkish Parliament headquarters in the capital, Ankara.

Erdogan explained that this center will be among the Azerbaijani territories that were liberated during the recent battles in the region, and that its mission will be to take all necessary measures to prevent any violation of the ceasefire.

The Turkish president indicated that his country's forces will participate in the peacekeeping force with the Russian side to monitor the implementation of the agreement.

With this, he added, Azerbaijan will have effectively and officially regained its occupied lands after 28 years, and "Karabakh will be Dar Aman."

Syria, Libya and the Mediterranean

The Turkish President expressed his hope that a peace process would start in Syria, similar to what happened in Karabakh.

To achieve this, he added, "the Syrian regime and terrorist organizations" must be excluded, and that Turkey is ready to work with Russia and the active regional powers to create a new Syria that directly meets the aspirations of its people.

And he expressed his confidence in the possibility of taking steps in Syria and Libya, similar to those that were taken in Karabakh.

With regard to the eastern Mediterranean, Erdogan said, "We believe that it is possible to reach a fair solution in this region, in the event of giving up concessions in favor of Greece and the administration of Roman Cyprus."

He affirmed his country's readiness to do what is required in order to establish peace, security, stability and prosperity in the region.

Erdogan called on the countries of the region to resolve their differences and move together in order to elevate the region to a decent place within the new political and global order that was formed after the Corona pandemic.
