The Deputy Director General of Police Operations in Ajman Police, Brigadier Khaled Muhammad Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that the rate of traffic accident deaths decreased by 41.6%, since the beginning of the year until the end of last September, and serious traffic accidents decreased by 49%, which contributed to achieving the strategic goal of the Ministry of Interior To strengthen road security.

He explained that the administration recorded seven deaths, as a result of traffic accidents, from the beginning of the year until the end of last September, compared to 12 cases recorded in the same period last year, and the administration also recorded a decrease in minor accidents, indicating that the emirate witnessed 21,692 traffic accidents. Simple, while the same period last year witnessed the occurrence of 27,654 minor traffic accidents, a decrease of 22%, in addition to a decrease in runaway accidents by 51%.

Al-Nuaimi pointed out the decrease in the number of traffic violations in attendance, with 34 thousand and 279 violations recorded during the past nine months, while the same period last year witnessed the registration of 50 thousand and 525 violations, a decrease of 32%, while the number of traffic violations in absentia reached 100 thousand and 900 violations. The same period last year witnessed 145,854 violations, a decrease of 31%, and 164 driving licenses were withdrawn, compared to the withdrawal of 408 driving licenses during the same period last year, with a 60% decrease in the number of licenses withdrawn.
