The third protocol included the necessity of pre-booking the performance of Umrah and prayer in the Grand Mosque, visiting the Prophet’s Mosque and praying in the honorable kindergarten in accordance with the controls and absorptive capacity approved by the application of “Umrah”. The fourth included downloading the “Tawakalna” application upon arrival in Saudi Arabia and entering the data of the Umrah permit request after three days, while it included The Fifth Protocol is the availability of confirmed airline reservations to go and return according to the approved program for each pilgrim, and finally, housing services should be available with three days of health isolation upon arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to the transportation service between the ports and the residence, in accordance with the mandatory components of the services package for each citizen.

According to the authority, those wishing to perform Umrah residing in the country must also conclude an Umrah contract with the approved campaigns, which includes housing services (including three days of isolation), field services, and a pre-visa.

Gradual resumption of Umrah

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the gradual resumption of Umrah at the end of last September through four stages, which it started on the fourth of last October, by permitting the performance of Umrah for citizens and residents inside the Kingdom with a maximum of 6000 pilgrims, then it was raised in the second phase, which started in the second half of October, to reach To 15 thousand pilgrims, and 40 thousand people enter the Grand Mosque in Mecca to perform prayer.

With the beginning of this month, it was allowed to receive those wishing to perform Umrah from outside the Kingdom, and the capacity was raised to 20 thousand pilgrims and 60 thousand worshipers in the Haram.

And the fourth stage is the complete return of the rituals, when the competent authority decides to eliminate the risks of the (Covid-19) pandemic, and at that time it will raise the capacity of the Two Holy Mosques to 100%.
